I met Damian Buchman about 4 years ago. Damian is a two time childhood cancer survivor, but that's not what makes him so special (although, it is pretty awesome). No, it's his passion behind a project he has been commandeering for more than 5 years - The Ability Center (TAC).
The Ability Center is not just a vision but a place where no one is left on the sidelines, everyone has the ability to participate in sport and wellness irregardless of physical ability. It is a place where someone in a wheel chair can have the same experience as someone without; or where someone with cognitive limitations has a place to explore and feel included - becoming a part of a community that cares for his or her wellbeing.
For the past five-plus years Damian has made it his mission to see that this facility become a reality and over the past five years Damian was faced with countless obstacles - at any given time he could have said "WTF" and hang up the gloves. This is not Damian - his tenacity and determination is second to none (as was his fight against cancer) and it's paying off!
As a show of support we have committed to contributing 5% of all our profits to The Ability Center.
